A very broad question of course, with answers which are very much down to individual preferences.

In this section we will give you some background to the country, a base from which you can build your own research.

Lifestyle

In our experience, one of the main factors that people go to New Zealand is a less stressed lifestyle. The population of New Zealand is similar to the population of Birmingham. It is spread over two islands which roughly equal the size of the British Isles. This means that population densities are much lower than in UK, particularly in the South Island.

The pace of life is less frenetic than the UK, crime rates are lower, there is less traffic, even in the cities, class sizes in schools tend to be smaller, and as yet terrorism has not touched the country. Many of our clients tell us that they see New Zealand as somewhere that offers their children a future.
